Andorra allows Americans to study at the University of Andorra (UdA) or schools affiliated with Spanish or French universities operating there. Andorra's unique trilingual environment (Catalan, Spanish, French) and its position as a tax haven between France and Spain make it a distinctive destination. Requires proof of enrollment, financial means, and health insurance. Students must register with Andorra's Immigration Department (Servei d'Immigració). Note: Andorra is not in the EU or Schengen Area.
Americans who are spouses or dependent children of an Andorran resident can apply for family reunification. Andorra has a tiered residency system — active residency (requiring work or business), passive residency (requiring investment), and family residency. The sponsor must have an active or passive residency permit and adequate income and housing. Andorra has no income tax and very low VAT (4.5%), making it attractive for high earners. Citizenship requires 20 years of residency (or 3 years if married to an Andorran national).
