Student Residence Permit
Americans studying at an Armenian university can obtain a temporary residence permit for the duration of their program. The American University of Armenia (AUA) offers fully English-medium graduate programs accredited in the US, and Yerevan State University has growing English-language offerings — both at very affordable tuition. Yerevan is one of the most welcoming cities in the Caucasus for American students, with a significant Armenian-American diaspora presence and a vibrant, affordable urban environment.

Family Reunification Residence Permit
American residents in Armenia can apply to bring a spouse and dependent children under a family reunification residence permit. Armenia's relatively liberal immigration system and the strong connection between the Armenian-American diaspora and the country make this a well-trodden path. The sponsor must demonstrate stable income and suitable accommodation; permits are renewable annually and family members may work, with permanent residency available after just three years of continuous legal residence.
